Welcome to Federal-Alert.com, operated by ALERT 2020 (“we,” “us,” “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, content, and features (collectively, the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms.

Effective Date: October 26, 2025 • Last Updated: October 26, 2025

1) Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and any additional policies referenced here (including our Privacy Policy). If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2) Eligibility & Account

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site. If you create or are provided an account, you are responsible for maintaining its security and for all activity under it. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us of any unauthorized use.

3) Site Content & No Legal Advice

The Site may include legal news, case summaries, and educational materials. This content is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not legal advice and may not reflect the most current legal developments. Laws vary by jurisdiction and evolve over time. You should consult a licensed attorney about your particular situation before taking any action.

4) No Attorney–Client Relationship

Your use of the Site, or communication with us through the Site (including forms or email), does not create an attorney–client relationship. Do not send confidential information through the Site. If you need case-specific guidance, consider using our Written Case Evaluation service; any engagement terms will be set out separately.

5) Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Site, including (without limitation):

  • Accessing or using the Site for unlawful purposes, infringing rights, or violating regulations.
  • Attempting to interfere with the Site’s security, integrity, or availability (e.g., scraping, DDoS, reverse engineering).
  • Submitting false, misleading, or malicious content, or attempting to gain unauthorized access to systems or data.

6) Intellectual Property

The Site and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by ALERT 2020 and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and share links to our public content for personal, noncommercial use, provided you preserve all notices. Any other use (including reproduction, distribution, modification, or derivative works) requires our prior written permission.

7) Submissions & Feedback

If you send us feedback, ideas, or materials, you grant ALERT 2020 a nonexclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, and worldwide license to use and incorporate them without obligation to you. You represent that you have the right to provide such materials and that they do not infringe third-party rights.

8) Payments, Fees & Refunds

Details on how to pay are listed at Payment Methods. Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, Assessment Fees and Writing Fees are non-refundable. Electronic processing fees (e.g., for card payments) may apply as disclosed on the payment page.

If a service requires a separate agreement or scope (e.g., a Written Case Evaluation), the terms in that specific agreement control in the event of any conflict with these Terms.

9) Third-Party Links & Services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or embedded services we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Use third-party sites at your own risk and review their terms and privacy policies.

11) Disclaimers & No Warranties

THE SITE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any content is accurate or complete.

12) Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALERT 2020 AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SITE; (B) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SITE; OR (C) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT.
